Development status of plastic wood market in China

China's plastic wood industry has been in a high-speed development period since 2005. Through more than ten years of development, great progress has been made in output, quality and technology. The scope of application is constantly expanding, and the product performance is constantly improving. Some of them have been higher than the international level. For example, the design of domestic products is more realistic on the surface of wood products, and the development of multi-layer co extrusion new products is rapid, and the cost performance of products is more advantageous. In 2018, the environmental protection tax was fully levied, forcing enterprises to pay attention to environmental protection and green development. Plastic wood materials and products are typical green and low-carbon industries. The development of plastic wood industry fully conforms to the national industrial policy guidance.

In 2018, China's plastic wood composite industry continued the previous high-speed development trend, and the annual production, sales and export volume maintained a growth rate of 25% ~ 30%. Some old factories generally increase production capacity to meet the needs of customers. At the same time, a number of new factories opened.

By the end of December 2018, there were nearly 620 plastic wood production enterprises in China, including about 200 PE based outdoor plastic wood composite material manufacturers with a production capacity of about 2 million tons, including 4 enterprises with an annual production capacity of more than 50000 tons, about 55 enterprises with a production capacity of more than 20000 tons, about 160 enterprises with an annual production capacity of more than 10000 tons, and about 400 indoor plastic wood composite material manufacturers with a production capacity of about 4.2 million tons.
