DIY paving method

1. The floor tiles shall be soaked and wetted before paving. Before paving, color matching, mosaic and trial splicing shall be carried out.

2. Before paving, the mortar thickness of the bonding layer shall be determined according to the design requirements, and the cross line shall be drawn to control its thickness and the flatness of stone and floor tiles.

3. Dry and hard cement mortar with a volume ratio of 1:3 should be used for the mortar of the bonding layer, and the thickness should be 2-3mm higher than the actual paving thickness. Before paving, a layer of plain cement paste with water cement ratio of 1:2 shall be brushed on the cement mortar or 1-2mm dry cement shall be sprayed.

4. When paving stone and floor tiles, they shall be kept horizontal and in place. Tap them with a rubber hammer to make them bond closely with the mortar. Meanwhile, the surface flatness and joint width shall be adjusted.

5. After paving, the surface shall be cleaned in time, and joints shall be pointed 24 hours later.
